The Pyramid Restaurant is located in the Fairmont Hotel. The restaurant, redone in 2008, boasts sleek lines and a contemporary look. Dallas has a lot of neat spots...this has the feel of a hotel restaurant. That aside, the food was good and the garden terrace was a fantastic feature. Our waiter could not have offered better service - he was charming. Most of all, however, we liked this spot because, brace yourself, it offers the best Brussels sprouts in Dallas. Big statement, I know...you'll have to try them for yourself. We were both won over by these delicious mini vegetables.
The amuse bouche was a great start to our meal: pineapple broth with fresh crab, tomatoes, and onions. Amazing mix.
The Caesar salad came with Parmesan shavings and polenta croutons. It was a traditional set up, minus the croutons.
The best Brussels sprouts in Dallas. Served with pancetta and a Dijon sauce, these surpassed our expectations and took the number one slot on our list of faves.
By far the neatest feature of Pyramid Restaurant and Bar is the Terrace Garden. Complete with two bee hives, herbs, and a several works in progress, you must tour this amazing spot should you visit! The view of Dallas is great, but the work that the chef is doing is equally astounding.
